The FoRB Forum was initiated by the First Freedom Foundation to enhance the interactions among FoRB advocates globally, offering a secure, continuous digital platform for members to communicate. Stemming from the challenges faced by the International Religious Freedom Roundtable due to the shift online during COVID-19, issues such as security concerns, the vastness and relevancy of shared information, fleeting connections, and timeliness of information were prominent. To address these challenges, Patrice Pederson, with expertise in trans-organization collaboration, and technology specialist Dean Householder developed the FoRB Forum. Leveraging open-source code from Zulip, the forum ensures top-tier security with end-to-end encryption. It operates as a 24/7 accessible asynchronous "meeting", offering searchable chat features and customizable user experiences.
